What a fantastic night at the 2021 Champions of Cheese Awards!
We’ve been an award sponsor for a number of years, and we’re delighted to congratulate James and Catherine and the team at Grinning Gecko for their Kau Piro cheese, the winner of the 2021 Thermaflo Champion Washed Rind Cheese Award. It’s very well deserved, and a reflection of their hard work.
Over 310 cheeses, from 35 companies were submitted for judging this year by a panel of 32 judges. The 2021 entrants (yes, there are samples at the awards night!) are spectacular and really highlight the quality and talent of the New Zealand cheese industry.
