Cream separation, either from milk or whey, is a key process in dairy processing.

Gentle treatment of the milk to avoid damaging the fat globules is an essential requirement that Frautech Separators can guarantee thanks to the optimized design in feeding the separator. Under optimal feeding and process conditions, the residual fat in skimmed milk is always at the lowest possible level, i.e. 0.05% or less.

Milk fat standardization with Frautech cream separators can be achieved with the built-in standardizing apparatus that allows fat re-mixing into the skimmed milk for manual adjustment.

How the Frautech Cream Separator Works:

Whole milk or whey is fed under pressure to the separator.

It then flows smoothly into the bowl through the feed pipe and the distributor and starts rising through the rising channels.

Due to the centrifugal force and the milk’s higher specific weight, it is forced towards the periphery of the bowl while the cream is concentrated in the central area.

Both skimmed milk and cream rise along their respective paths and are pumped out or leave the separator, respectively, through enclosed pipes.

Solids are also subjected to the action of the centrifugal force and are pushed to the periphery of the bowl, accumulating in the area that holds the solids, and automatically discharged at preset intervals.

Homogenisation is the process where the particle size in the product (measured in µm) is broken down and dispersed throughout

The most common application for homogenisation in dairy is to disperse the cream in milk or ice cream mix into a homogenous emulsion, preventing future cream separation and keeping the product in a consistent state over time.

Homogenisation occurs via mechanical means, the product is subjected to high pressure/velocity as it is forced through a small orifice causing turbulence and cavitation thus high shear breaking the particles down and dispersing them throughout.

Homogenisers are also used for various different pharmaceutical or laboratory applications. With a fully integrated design and process team at Thermaflo, we are able to specify the correct homogeniser and high-pressure pump units specifically for your application.

Tank Options: Mixing, blending, Incubation, Storage, Aseptic, Process, CIP, single, double or triple skinned tank with dimple pad and/or insulation.

Capacity: Any – size and volume specifically designed to suit the project's requirements

Material: All fabricated in the correct Stainless Steel grade to suit that specific tanks application

All tanks & vessels that we fabricate are always designed with the end clients process in mind. We have the ability to produce any kind of tank from, mixing, incubation, storage, aseptic, CIP and whole range of additional tanks and vessels.

Starting with the required volume and dimensions of your required vessel, and its purpose our design team will determine if you will require a single, double or triple skinned tank with dimple pad and/or insulation.

From there, we’ll work with you to determine the placement of the vessel on-site, where the on the tank a manway may be required, the positioning of inlet and outlet piping for both the product and CIP as well as all associated valving that may be included.

Once the above information has been gathered, we will complete fabrication in our workshop before sending the tank to site for installation. As we take installation into account from the beginning of the design process, we know the anchoring points for the tank and where all associated piping will be going, considerably speeding up all on-site works.

Whether you’re looking for a straightforward tank design or something more customised, our team can help.

Perfect for startups or small scale production where flexibility is key.

The beauty of a containerised process plant is that you receive a specifically designed, fit for purpose process plant that is housed in a fully hygienic, fitted out container that is built to meet the highest international food grade standards. Container plants are ideally suited to small scale and start-up plants where future production levels are unknown. Purchasing a container plant will help keep your costs down, while you begin production and therefore entry into your target market while allowing for future flexibility.

Technical Design: The majority of your process plant is designed and fabricated within either a 20 or 40 foot shipping container or a combination of these. Depending on your application, the only external elements of your plant will be the piping for water connection, boiler, chiller and raw product tank that may already be housed outside of the container.

Process Plant Fabrication & Workshop Commissioning: Our mechanical and electrical teams will fit out the container to meet the highest food grade standards. From there, the equipment and pipework will be fabricated and installed. Once the process plant fabrication has been completed, our team will commission the plant within our workshop. We will make sure everything is running the way that it should before we send it to the site.

Site Installation: Once both fabrication and commissioning is complete we will have the container transported to your location. When the container arrives our highly skilled engineers will come to your site and carry out all the work necessary to get you up and running.

Training: This is a very important aspect that needs a lot of consideration. Although many people that contact Thermaflo have experience working in a process plant before they purchase a container plant, there is still a lot to learn in the daily operations of the plant. Our team are able to teach all personnel involved in plant operations the correct way to operate the equipment. We will show you how to avoid waste, comply with industry standards and make your final product.

Compliance: Internationally there is very high compliance for the production of food, health care and pharmaceutical products. We will work closely with you to make sure that the products you are producing are safe for human consumption and that you are operating to the highest food safety standard. This will allow you to produce a safe, quality product, without worrying about product fault.

After Sales support: This includes both preventative maintenance service support on a scheduled programme as well as on the phone support for the operators and local tradesmen. For more information about how Thermaflo can assist you with developing a new processing plant within a hygienic shipping container go to our contact us page to leave a message or give us a call.

Bottle Volumes: 250ml - 5000ml

Filling Speed (approx):
1000ml: 7,500 - 9000 Bottles per hour
2000ml: 4,800 - 6,000 Bottles per hour

Machine dimensions (mm): 2,450 (L) x 2,150 (W) x 4,023 (H)

Final filling speed is influenced by product characteristics, container dimensions and valve size.

Filmatic ESL Bottle Filling Machines (Extended Shelf Life) is expanding the lifespan of perishable products through packaging, without changing the taste characteristics of the freshly produced product itself.

The continuous variable flow control valve promoted non-contact, non-drop filling creating a hygienic filling environment while also minimising foaming issues. All product contact components are thoroughly cleaned by the closed-loop automated CIP system.

ESL is a great choice for those with high-value products wanting a longer shelf life, without the additional expense of aseptic technology. ESL is well suited for products such as Milk, Cream & Juice etc.

Factors to consider for ESL:

Air Management

Clean room = Class 100

Pre-filtration

HEPA filtration

Diffuser

Laminar vertical airflow

Cap Sterilization
Eliminate potential contamination issues from the cap.

Container Sterilization
Single or double stage rinsing using a combination of sanitizing agents available.

Auto-sanitise and CIP

Auto-sanitise (Surface Sterilization)

A multi-stage programmable system to conform to individual product requirements.

CIP (Clean in Place)

Multi-stage, two-directional systems which can be programmed to conform to individual product requirements.
