Lattomatic is an automatic milk and cream fat standardisation system designed to obtain both precise control of the fat content in cream coming from the skimming separator as well as accurate standardisation of the fat content in milk. Lattomatic guarantees exact adjustment of the cream fat content in a range between 30% and 45% fat. The system can calculate and automatically adjust the fat content based on different parameters.

Lattomatic enables accurate dosing of cream to the skimmed milk flow and thus, continuous production of fat-standardized milk. Surplus cream is discharged separately. With its high level of automation, parameter adjustments are possible during operation without stopping the process. The touchscreen panel is user-friendly, easy to set up, and allows direct control of all operations. Signal exchange and operating modes (CIP, water, product) can be changed easily using the control system. Lattomatic can be used to upgrade milk skimming separators and be integrated into existing systems as well as new installations.

Cream separation, either from milk or whey, is a key process in dairy processing.

Gentle treatment of the milk to avoid damaging the fat globules is an essential requirement that Frautech Separators can guarantee thanks to the optimized design in feeding the separator. Under optimal feeding and process conditions, the residual fat in skimmed milk is always at the lowest possible level, i.e. 0.05% or less.

Milk fat standardization with Frautech cream separators can be achieved with the built-in standardizing apparatus that allows fat re-mixing into the skimmed milk for manual adjustment.

How the Frautech Cream Separator Works:

Whole milk or whey is fed under pressure to the separator.

It then flows smoothly into the bowl through the feed pipe and the distributor and starts rising through the rising channels.

Due to the centrifugal force and the milk’s higher specific weight, it is forced towards the periphery of the bowl while the cream is concentrated in the central area.

Both skimmed milk and cream rise along their respective paths and are pumped out or leave the separator, respectively, through enclosed pipes.

Solids are also subjected to the action of the centrifugal force and are pushed to the periphery of the bowl, accumulating in the area that holds the solids, and automatically discharged at preset intervals.

Homogenisation is the process where the particle size in the product (measured in µm) is broken down and dispersed throughout

The most common application for homogenisation in dairy is to disperse the cream in milk or ice cream mix into a homogenous emulsion, preventing future cream separation and keeping the product in a consistent state over time.

Homogenisation occurs via mechanical means, the product is subjected to high pressure/velocity as it is forced through a small orifice causing turbulence and cavitation thus high shear breaking the particles down and dispersing them throughout.

Homogenisers are also used for various different pharmaceutical or laboratory applications. With a fully integrated design and process team at Thermaflo, we are able to specify the correct homogeniser and high-pressure pump units specifically for your application.

Pasteurisation is the process of heat treating a product to ensure that it is safe for human consumption and to increase the shelf life of the product. Depending on the product you are pasteurising and what the intended end product is, each pasteurisation process requires its own specific design. We supply top quality, efficient pasteurisers that are specifically designed to produce repeatable results that meet your process needs. Our batch pasteurisers systems range from 150L to 1000L and can be custom designed for volumes within this range. If you are processing larger volumes, see our inline pasteurisers here.

The Direct Steam Injection UHT/HTST system is designed for comparisons of heat treatment with either direct heating or indirect heating.

The machine can be supplied with tubes, plates or both. Processing using either direct heating or indirect heating at temperatures to 152 deg C and flow rates from 10 to 40 Ltr per hour. Easy changeover from direct heating or indirect heating by the touch of a button. Just select which system is to be used from the touch panel menu and the machine is ready to use.

Individual tubes are utilized to give a wide variety of heating and cooling duties. The tubes are manufactured to our own specification and are profiled to give turbulence at the low flow rates to enable scale up to production.

No-bond Gasketed plate heat exchangers offer a wide variety of heating and cooling duties. The plates are manufactured to our own specification and can be supplied as 1 complete plate pack or individual units for easy maintenance.

Each section is individually controlled and the flow path of the system is shown on the touch panel

Minimum sample required.

Holding tubes of any time available and can be placed wherever needed.

Built in refrigerator or your chilled water supply.

Touch panel control fascia with flow path of system.

Vacuum pump to 400 mbar.

PID controlled steam valve.

Aseptic sampling when used with the optional Clean Bench.

Level sensor in hopper for easy wash out after product and CIP.

Steam, mains water and a suitable drain required.

Compressed air at 6 bar for the divert valves.

Size: Any, please talk to us about your requirements

Applications: Raw materials/ingredients for further processing - Liquids (low or high viscosity), powders

Materials: Stainless steel (can be insulated where required), food-grade polypropylene.

At the starting point of every process is the raw product reception.

Having been involved in the juice, dairy, honey and other liquid food industry we know how the requirements change dramatically between each of our clients. We will work with you to design a complete reception area for your plant that will not only be fit for purpose, but will also allow for future expansion.

We take the time to talk to our clients, see what their goals are in terms of future growth to ensure that the reception area we design will allow them to upgrade and expand in the future.

From raw milk, to powders, pallets and pallecons we can design a system that is custom-built for your process and the products you wish to produce.

We will ensure that it easily integrates with existing process equipment and is easily accessible to all CIP/SIP facilities where required.
